Having your arm lift surgery in an accredited surgical facility by skilled and qualified medical staff is a critical factor. Bigger cities in India generally boast of having better medical facilities, and more experienced surgeons, and hence the costs are generally higher in bigger cities. IndiCure Health Tours only recommends surgical facilities that are in the bigger cities for the sake of quality of care and safety of the patient.
Another important factor that determines the cost of arm lift surgery is the anesthesia cost. The more complex/longer the procedure, the higher the cost. Anesthesia costs for the arm lift surgery in India are usually billed on an hourly basis, but IndiCure offers an all-inclusive package, that includes anesthesia cost and that too at affordable and negotiated prices.
The surgery-related expenses include the pre- and post-surgical expenses. The pre-surgical expenses are associated with the age and medical condition of the patient and thus the number and type of investigations required. Post-surgical expenses may include prescription medications, post-surgery compression garments, and follow-up consultations. IndiCure's all-inclusive cost for arm list surgery would include most of these surgery related expenses.
At IndiCure, we consolidate most of the expenses for the arm lift surgery to provide you with an inclusive and cost-effective package tailored to your budget and individual requirements.
After receiving your pictures and medical reports, your case manager will provide an estimated surgery cost based on a discussion with the plastic surgeon.

Here is a set of questions you should consider asking before commencing your journey for arm lift surgery in India.
Prepare to answer questions about your:
Arm lift, medically known as Brachioplasty is a plastic surgery procedure where the excess skin and fat from the arms is surgically removed. Arm lift corrects imperfections of the upper arms when the person is not satisfied with the physical appearance of the arms, the reasons for which could be many:
If you have lost a lot of weight and have a large amount of loose skin in the area where it used to be fat, or have excessively bulky arms with loose skin, you are a good candidate for the arm lift plastic surgery. You should be 18 or above, physically healthy, emotionally stable and have realistic expectations from the surgery.
Standard Brachioplasty: The standard procedure removes the excess fat and skin from the armpit to the elbows.
Extended Brachioplasty: This is an extended form of standard Brachioplasty which entails the removal of excess skin and fat from the armpit and along the side of the chest wall as well, along with arm fat and skin.
Minimal incision arm-lift: This procedure is for people who have moderate amounts of skin sagging and very little fat to be removed. Fat can be removed through liposuction. The excess skin is removed and tucked under the armpit where the scar lies discreetly.
Arm Liposuction: Liposuction alone can be an option for excess fat in arms but with skin that is elastic enough to shrink back to its original form. If not, it can be an added procedure with a normal arm-lift.
Surgery Time | 1-3 Hours (depending on the type of surgery) |
Anesthesia Type | General Anesthesia |
Hospitalization | 1-2 Days |
Stitch Removal | 7-10 Days |
Initial Recovery Time | 1 Week |
The arm lift surgery is done under general anesthesia and takes about 1-2 hours for the complete procedure. The procedure begins by making an incision along the inner side of the upper arm to conceal scarring.
The incision depends on the amount of excess skin and fat to be removed. Incisions are usually made on the inside or back of the arm. It then continues down from the axilla just short of the elbow.
The plastic surgeon removes the unwanted fat, tissue, and skin and stitches the incision back to give you nice shapely arms. The underlying tissues are tightened and restructured to give a firm and smooth contour.
Your arms shall be heavily bandaged after the surgery which shall be removed after about a week to ten days as shall the stitches. You can resume your work after a week to 10 days or so depending on the nature of your job. The precautions include not lifting heavy objects or doing any work that requires vigorous arm movements for at least six weeks.
The results of arm lift surgery are very gratifying. You will get nice shapely arms in proportion with your body without any unsightly folds of fat or skin hanging below them.
We approach plastic surgery with precision and artistic vision to enhance each patient`s unique beauty.
Arm lift cost varies with the country, city, surgeon, hospital/clinic, and medical condition. Whereas the cost for an arm lift starts from around US $7,000 with a board-certified surgeon in the US, it starts from $2300 or so with a board-certified surgeon in India at an accredited medical facility.
Yes, arm lift plastic surgery, if done by a qualified and experienced surgeon in a well-equipped facility is a safe surgery. However, it has risks associated with it like any other surgical procedure. You would undergo a thorough check-up and a battery of investigations before your surgery to minimize these risks.
You will have some pain and discomfort for a couple of days after arm lift, which shall be controlled with painkillers. It is natural to have some bruising, soreness, and swelling in arms after the procedure. Be prepared for 1-2 weeks of recovery time after an arm lift.
You can expect your incisions to heal after a few weeks. In some patients, they may become soft and flexible in a few weeks, while in some, it may take a few months. With proper care and topical creams and ointments, arm lift scars do fade gradually with time.
You can start light, gentle movements in a couple of days after the procedure which shall improve when the dressing and stitches are removed. However, exercises and heavy work involving your arms should wait for 6-8 weeks after Brachioplasty.
